RICU (the Research, Information and Communications Unit) is a specialist unit within the Home Office, responsible for the development and implementation of evidence-based communication campaignsdesigned to measurably increase public resilience to, and deter involvement in Serious and Organised Crime.
Research and communications programmes cover a range of threat areas, such as cyber security, fraud, money laundering, child sexual exploitation, modern slavery and organised immigration crime, and include the Government’s flagship anti-fraud campaign, Take 5.
